Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Reflexology: What is it, exactly?

Reflexology is a hands-on approach to healing. The trained practitioner applies specific hand, thumb and finger movements to the bottom of the feet which allows the body's reflexes to provide healing from within. It is NOT a foot massage (although you receive one of those at the end of reflexology session!)

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Just bring and be yourself! During COVID, please wear a mask for your session. If you don't have a mask, one will be provided for you. Julie will also be wearing a mask. If you are a new client, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. Julie will ask a few questions and let you know how the session works.

What should I expect from my first session?

You will take off your shoes and socks and will get to relax back in a zero gravity chair. Don't worry how your feet "look" - feet are feet and they do a ton of work for us, daily. Julie will make sure your treatment is comfortable, relaxing with an optional blanket throw, heated towels and pillows - all cleaned and sanitized. All equipment is physically and energetically cleared each session. Most people nod off during treatment - which is a compliment to the practitioner! You session ends with a wonderful foot massage with warm lotion.

What kinds of techniques are used?

Julie will use her thumb, fingers and hands to apply pressure to the foot, which corresponds to the different reflex areas of the body. This treatment is not painful and many people gain great relief from their session.

How can I pay for my session?

Julie accepts cash, all debit/credit cards or Venmo pay. You may make payment at the beginning of your session.

What if I have to cancel my session?

In case you need to cancel your session, please contact Julie 24 hours in advance, if possible. Julie will reschedule you as soon as possible. Please be considerate when choosing to cancel/reschedule.
